Day 1 MARSHAL TRAINING PROGRAM ON RALLYCROSS & AUTOCROSS
Mr. Dasrath Risal – President of Nepal Automobiles’ Association :
Dasarath Risal, the President of NASA Nepal, chaired the inauguration and closing ceremony of marshals and drivers training on Rallycross and autocross on the first day. During the event, he emphasized the importance of active leadership within the organization and extended his best wishes to all the marshals involved. He believed in promoting their roles to the next official of NASA Nepal.
Mr. Thakur Prasad Neupane:
Mr. Thakur Prasad Neupane an advisor of NASA Nepal graced the program as the main guest. He expressed his happiness and supported NASA’s efforts in introducing motorsports in Nepal. By extending his best wishes to the marshals attending the training, Mr. Thakur Prasad Neupane showed his support for those
involved in the practical aspects of motorsports highlighting the importance of skilled personnel in ensuring the success and safety of such events.
Er. Bishwomitra Sanjel:
Mr.Bishwonath Sanjel, member secretary of sports development of Karnali Province. His presence as the chief guest signified the importance of such initiatives and highlighted the increasing interest and participation of youths in motorsports. He extended his best wishes for the successful completion of the two-day marshal and driver training program and believes in the preparation of skilled manpower to contribute to the further development of motorsports in Nepal Anjan Dhamala, Vice President of the National Sports Council graced the program as the chief guest. He emphasized the profound impact of regular participation in sporting activities on holistic development. He commended the relentless dedication of NASA Nepal in pioneering the establishment of motorsports in Nepal. Dhamala also congratulated the Marshals for the remarkable opportunity they got to enhance their skills in marshaling within the dynamic world of motorsports.
Govinda Bhattarai:
Commencing his speech, Mr. Govinda Bhattarai, an executive director of NASA Nepal introduced some crucial aspects and background of NASA, FIA, and FIM. He clearly outlined the policy and planning, while providing information about the
upcoming program to be held shortly.
Anil Kumar Baral:
Anil Kumar Baral, Vice President of NASA Nepal, emphasized the crucial roles of marshals in ensuring the safety of participants and spectators on national and international platforms. He provided comprehensive insights into the importance, values, limitations, rules, and regulations, and governing the application of different signs and signals used by Marshals on the action field.
Vijhitha Sabanath Vijemanne:
Mr. Vijitha Vijemanne, FIA, Asia Pacific Region coordinator served as the focal person of the event and conducted the training sessions for the marshal and driver on the Rallycross and Autocross program. He commenced the session with theoretical aspects sharing his valuable insights, guidelines, knowledge, experiences, and information about marshaling. Vijemanne elaborated on the roles and responsibilities of marshals addressing the challenges, limitations, and correct utilization of signs, signals, and equipment on fields.
Yaduraj Lamichhane :
Mr. Yaduraj Lamichhane is a board member of NASA Nepal and Head of Marshalling and commission informed the trainees about the fundamental requirements needed to become a marshal. He also stressed the significance, roles, and responsibilities of marshals in ensuring the success of events. Additionally, he emphasized that trainees should be well acquainted with the knowledge of the gear, gadgets, terminologies, and equipment they use during marshaling.
Dr. Bulanda Thapa:
Mr. Buland Thapa a Deputy President of NASA Nepal shared valuable information on different issues of road safety including its prevention, post-crash response, and rescue. Notably, his suggestion prioritized self-safety first followed by team safety spectator, safety, and vehicle safety particularly while driving
Day 2 DRIVER TRAINING PROGRAM ON RALLYCROSS & AUTOCROSS
Govinda Bhattarai:
Mr. Govinda Bhatarai is an executive Director of NASA Nepal plays a significant role in advancing motorsports. During the training session on Drivers in Rallycross and Autocross, he imparted some detailed knowledge and information about motorsports activities conducted on the International platform.
Vijhitha Sabanath Vijemanne:
Mr. Vijitha discussed the different rules and regulations drivers must before the racing event. He further stressed the importance of remaining alert to technical errors and safety issues of the vehicles, being aware of the condition of gear and
gadgets they used, and maintaining a disciplined attitude of drivers towards sports. This ensures that drivers are adequately prepared for the events.
Nilendra Raj Shrestha:
Mr.Nilendra Raj Shrestha the General Secretary of the Nepal Olympic Committee extended his warm wishes and congratulations to the trainees for their successful and sustainable careers in motorsports. He expressed his happiness in witnessing the achievements and success NASA Nepal managed to foster among sports enthusiasts.
Krishna Timalsina:
Mr. Krishna Timalsina is a Sports Scientist who attended the program as a guest speaker. He spoke on the research, study, and observation he conducted in the field of sports. Sharing his valuable insights deriving from his experiences,
Mr. Timalsina offered perspectives relevant to the sporting community. He concluded by extending warm wishes to the trainees and sportsenthusiasts.
“Athletes: Ethics and discipline“
Anil Kumar Baral:
Mr. Anil Kumar Baral is vice president of NASA Nepal and a former athlete in motorsports focused on athletes’ ethics and discipline during the driver& training session, he emphasized the importance of ethical behavior among drivers and highlighted how discipline should be ingrained as an integral part of their training and performance.
Santosh Neupane:
During the drivers training session on Rallycross and autocross, Santosh Nyaupane, the secretary and Head of the Motorcycling Commission of NASA Nepal played a pivotal role. He provided a detailed briefing on the safety gear and gadgets highlighting their uses and importance for motorsports drivers. Additionally, Mr. Nyaupane displayed some of the safety gear and gadgets to offer clear information to the attendees.
Aashish Bharati:
Mr, Aashish Bharati a member of the Athlete Commission of NASA Nepal and a national and international motorsports player shared his experiences and knowledge of driving tools and techniques for proper racing during the training session. With his participation in various racing events, he imparted the pros and cons of the driving skills to the trainees and drivers present.
Surya Lal Bhandari:
As the chief guest, Mr. Surya Lal Bhandari, a Member Secretary of Bagmati Sports Development Council graced the program. He extended his best wishes to everyone and committed to providing all the possible support for the enhancement of sustainable motorsports in the country.
TRAIN THE TRAINER ON KARTING SLALOM.

Vijitha Sarbhada Wijemanne:
Mr. Vijitha Wijemanne has graced the program as a trainer from Srilanka invite by NASA Nepal. He is an FIA Pacific Region Sports co-ordinator who trained the 20 trainers of Karting Slalom in Dhulikhel.
He instructed the trainees on how to design the track, shared guidelines on event management, and marshals management during the event, and displayed flags for demonstration. He wanted all the clubs and federations to be sensitive to handling the challenges and growing popularity of this sport among youths. Additionally, under his supervision, he directed the participants to the formation of track themselves.
Govinda Bhattarai:
Mr.Bhattarai is an executive director of NASA Nepal who also attended the Train the Trainer Karting Slalom program and expressed his commitment to providing training classes for college going students shortly in the premises of the International Sports Council, Satdobato. He intends the involvement of a maximum number of players on Karting Slalom.
Santosh Nyaupane:
Mr. Nyaupane, a secretary of the organization and head of the motorcycling commission has coordinated the Train the Trainer Program. He convinced the trainers to prioritize this game and take the necessary initiatives to fulfill the different technical issues. Mr. Nyaupane further added that he is dedicated to preparing skilled and competent players for the national and international games.
